INDUSTRIAL ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP ON SKILLS CHALLENGES IN THE WATER AND WASTEWATER INDUSTRY

Putrajaya, 8 Dec 2016 - Universiti Kuala Lumpur through its newly establish Centre for Water Engineering and its strategic alliances; UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education & Malaysian Water Association has organised an inaugural one day industrial engagement workshop on skills challenges in the water and wastewater industry. The event was officiated by Dato’ Dr. Tan Yew Chong, Deputy Secretary General (Water & Management), Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water.

The workshop aims to communicate the importance of developing appropriate and relevant skills for the water and wastewater industry. The workshop also offered presentations by MIGHT, UNESCO-IHE and Malaysia Water Association on vibrant integration of sustainability into Higher Technical and Vocational Education and Training (HTVET) for the clear educational content restructuring and professional development that are needed for the water and wastewater industry.
