INTRODUCTION

Policy Planning and International Relations Division (IRD) is responsible for international cooperation in the energy, green technology and water (EGTW) sectors. Its primary role is to uphold Malaysia’s rights and privileges at the international fora for EGTW matters. IRD also pursues Malaysia’s interests in those fora and establishes bilateral and multilateral cooperation to create a more globally competitive EGTW industry through capacity building.

IRD internal structure mainly consists of 3 small sections which cover certain portfolios as follow:

1. ASEAN, Asia and bilateral relations;
2. international organization and multilateral relations; and
3. trade and liberalization.
