The principal functions of the Energy Division of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water : -

1.    Formulate policies and strategies and undertake planning of the electricity supply industry;
2.    Promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy;
3.    Review tariffs imposed by electricity utilities;
4.    Monitor standards of service of electricity utilities;
5.    Administer the Electricity Supply Industry Trust Account; and
6.    Monitor energy programmes and project implementation
